Reluctant and struggling readers

At The Cat and the Fiddle, we stock a range of books for children of all reading tastes and abilities. Ransom publish books for reluctant readers. Boffin Boy is a comic graphic style series with funky artwork that even the most reluctant readers love. The books, most of which we have in store, have a Manga-style appeal, but the language, font and layout are carefully chosen to make them suitable for reluctant and struggling readers.
Shortlisted for the Educational Resources Books Award 2007.

Barrington Stoke publish accessible, enjoyable and unpatronising short books for children who are dyslexic, struggling to read, or simply reluctant to sit down with a book. Each book is illustrated to maintain the reader's interest and enhance the enjoyment of the story. Barrington Stoke's books are written by popular and respected authors, a selection of which you will find in the shop.
