Babies and Toddlers
These young children are a special category because toys are essential to their development, accounting for the majority of their experience and learning. The youngest infants cannot grasp objects yet, relying on their eyes and ears, and will enjoy such toys as mobiles, activity quilts, and soft dolls. As infants grow and their motor skills improve, they will love push-pull toys, balls, nesting and stacking toys, and shape sorters.
